Employers are responsible for ensuring that employees who may come into contact with asbestos as a part of their job are properly trained. This course is designed in accordance with Health and Safety Association guidelines on asbestos containing materials management and abatement, as well as Health and Welfare at Work Requirements. This allows you to meet the legal requirements for asbestos training for your employees.

The course will teach participants about the different types of asbestos, and the potential health effects of exposure. They will also learn what an asbestos survey is and how they should be used. Risk assessments are important. This course teaches participants about basic risk assessments and the techniques used to conduct them. Personal protective equipment is essential when working with asbestos. Course participants learn the proper use of PPE, including how to decontaminate it after exposure to asbestos. They will also learn the basic techniques of asbestos removal, including the more dangerous friable asbestos. They will also learn how to conduct air monitoring, and why a clearance assessment is important before allowing people to return to the area.
