Industrial hygiene programme: Tegral Building Products had previously manufactured asbestos-containing cement products at their factory in Athy, Co Kildare. The process involved the use of cement, fibres and other additives. Noise and vibration were also potential hazards in this environment. We were asked to assess the risks and implement a protective programme.
Steps taken:
Training
Face fit testing
Implementation of RPE programme
Risk assessment
Occupational monitoring
